Yvonne currently uses her zeitgeist antennae and writing skills to generate debates, reports and presentations, identifying trends, moods and movements that assist and impact future strategy, notably in retail and fashion.
The All-Party Parliamentary Design & Innovation Group (APDIG) invited Yvonne to collaborate on organising a debate about the perception of the design industry in Parliament. The Defining Design Debates motioned that design was suffering a PR problem leaving it misunderstood and undervalued by government, underused by business and misrepresented in the media.
Supported by Design Week, the debates attracted leading players in the design industries, education and media. An idea to create an ‘A to Z’ of the best of British design’ to circulate to all MPs was unfortunately unrealised.
